I have totally neglected the blog lately. Life couldn't get any busier right now! Shad and I are both taking classes at the School, both working, both have callings, etc. We are just trying to keep up! I am making plans to slow all of this chaos down in 2012. I am feeling inadequate as a mother and house wife and that is where I am happiest...being with the family and having a house of order. SO things WILL get better! Here is a picture of Kaden on his first day of Pre-school. He absolutely loves school and his teacher "Miss Mandy". If anyone knows Kaden, he is extremely shy and I didn't think he would ever let me leave him there, but he does great! He gets so excited to go and he is learning a lot. I love him so much! He is such a sweet little boy :) :)

Our little man Kaden...well not so little anymore turned 3 in August! Yes, I am just posting! Life has been so crazy this last month! We started the day off with a fun pancake breakfast ( Kaden's favorite ), then to swimming at Rexburg Rapids and then a Tools party with the family. We originally planned to do the party outside, but we ended up having it at the church because of bad weather. His cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, & great grandparents SPOILED him like crazy for his birthday. We are very thankful to all of you for being there! It was such a nice day :)

I am WAY late posting Memorial Day pictures! It was really wet and rainy, so I didn't get very many good pictures. I love getting together to Remember Cole and all those who have passed on. Lots of happiness and tears! Happiness because we know Families are Forever and tears because we are living this life without him....

I got a little teary when I was the first to show up and see this ball left by Cole's headstone from his buddy (nephew) Cyson. He was so good with all the kids and they LOVED him :)

We went to the park with our friends the other day. The kids had a blast! We haven't had the chance to get out due to the unpredictable weather lately. I wish it were warmer! These white legs need some SUN! Haha! Anyways, we had a little lunch and let the kids play on the toys and let the kids play in the water for a little while, but the Idaho wind picked up and had to cut it short. It was nice to get out of the house and we had a good time!

I can't help to write on the blog today. 2 years ago today my little brother Cole passed away from a ruptured aorta. It was the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life. Death is not something I deal with well, especially when it is your brother and best friend. I have learned a lot from him not only after his death, but by the example he has showed me throughout my life. I was always worried that if anyone in our family of 9 kids would go, it would be Cole because of his extremely close relationship with his Heavenly Father and his Love for sharing the Gospel. He cherished his mission so much and loved his Mission Leaders. I know his work is continuing on. I have been anticipating this day for a very long time. Last year I thought I would be okay when May 10th came around and it wasn't. This year is a little better, but I can't help but to think about every detail of that morning when my mom was trying to call me from the hospital and finally getting a hold of me to tell me that Cole was dying. I was in complete shock. I didn't get to see him or say goodbye before he passed away. A half hour after I arrived to the hospital, they gave us the bad news. Today I think about all the people that were so close to my brother. My heart aches for my family and all of Cole's friends. He has touched so many lives, including mine. I have grown so much by his example. It gets harder every year that goes by that we don't have him with us physically. I am looking forward to our reunion...Until we meet again brother. We love and miss you so much!

Seattle Girls Trip!

The Gals and I took a trip up to Seattle in February! I had so much fun! My mom and sisters are seriously the greatest. Never a dull moment and lots of laughs! I love them very very much. It was so good to be able to see my sister Dani that lives there and see her house! I wish we could go visit more often...here are a few pics.

So this year our Halloween was a little crazy but SO fun! We had multiple Spooktacular parties, ate lots of JUNK FOOD and I even got to do some Halloween mini sessions! Oh, and Kaden experienced Trick-or treating for the first time...lots of fun! Can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year! There is just a different feeling for me this year about the Holidays and I am likin' it! ;) Haha, I am a dork...Here are a few pics...

Today Kaden and Cambry were giggling REALLY HARD at eachother in the front room, so I had to see what was SO funny...Kaden had dumped out ALL of the cheerios and they were both rolling around in them. Although it was a mess, It was so funny to see Cambry covered in cheerios...

In case anyone is wondering....Cambry is now 9 months old! I can't believe how fast time has seemed to go by lately. I feel like I just barely had her!

The day after Kaden's birthday, we hitched it on down to Utah for a weekend of family fun with the Crapo's! Funny Story...I had packed Shad's bag for the weekend because he was at work. I also packed the car...We had a miscommunication and forgot Shad's bag! Haha, it was a good thing it wasn't mine. Guys usually pack pretty light. We went to the K-Mart by our hotel and bought him some clothes, socks, swim trunks and had to get his contact perscription sent to the local Wal Mart so he could see!!! Anyways, We had so much fun and I hope we get to do it again sometime. We went to Lagoon the first day. Shad and I were poppin' dramamine and Kaden was riding the Kiddy rides...some he liked and some he didn't. Cambry was our little angel the whole time we were there. She just hangs out :) The next day we went to Hogle Zoo to see all the animals. On Sunday we went to "The Spoken Word" on Temple Square and went and ate dinner with the family. Obviously there was a lot more to the trip, but this is the short version....enjoy the pics :)

Things We Want to Remember....

Yes, this will probably be a boring post for others to read, but I feel it important to write down things that we can remember about our kids at this stage in their life ;) Either way, enjoy!

Things We want to Remember about Kaden:

* If Kaden finds one of my headbands, he wears it around all day. Sometimes he pulls the headband down over his eyes..it makes him feel cool....

* He takes his socks off his feet every day and puts them on his hands.

*The only kind of meat that he will eat is Chicken.

* He has a MAJOR hair phobia! He gets the littlest hair on him and he starts screaming!

*Kaden chews on the corner of his blanket..I don't know, I guess it is a comfort thing.

*He is a FISH! He begs to play in the water every day and when he gets to, he jumps right in! He doesn't care if it is cold. He is just happy to be in the water..

*He talks about his cousin "Kye" all day and wants to play at his house all the time.

*He likes to talk about daddy's Pick up "Pick" and Trailer "Traily"

*He loves to play with trucks, motorcycles, four wheelers, cars, tools and anything that involves sports.

*He likes getting his back scratched from his mommy.

*He watches Handy Manny and The disney Christmas Movie.

* Kaden loves music. He dances or nods his head almost everytime there is a beat..lol.

Her nickname is "Sweetie" and it fits her perfect. She is a little angel.

She loves her teddy bear and snuggles with it at bed time.

She LOVES Tigger and Pooh. If it turns off, she cries.

She loves her little baby snacks ( Specifically Yogurt melts and strawberry apple puffs).

She likes stroller rides with Kaden.

When she wakes up from her naps, she gets so excited to see you and wraps her arms tight around your neck and puts her hands on your face. We love her snuggles!

Our little Kaden turned 2 on August 4th! He is SO big now ;) We have loved the time spent with him. We had a Birthday Party with Cake and Icecream up at his Grandma's house in Rexburg. He had such a good birthday. Thanks to all the cousins and Grandma that were there and brought gifts. He loved ALL of them and still plays with his toys every day! We appreciate it :)

Over the last two years we have watched him grow. I can still remember the day he came to us and when I got to hold him in my arms for the first time.....pure joy.

When we started giving him baby food, he would get SOOO excited to eat..

4th of July Weekend....

We had a LARGE family reunion on 4th of July weekend. The whole fam made it up for this one. It isn't that often that we are ALL together at one time. It was really fun and we had a blast :) We went camping in Kilgore at a camping area called McGeary Canyon. The first night we were there we set up camp, roasted hot dogs and sat around the fire. The next morning we had breakfast, rode four wheelers, played games, ate some more, went on a hike, had a dutch oven lasagna and cobbler...yummm AND much more. We ultimately had a good time and enjoyed each others company. I love my family so much and appreciate all that they do...okay enough of the mushy mushy BUT I do love them...

We went on a nice hike up to a lake. It was a very pretty area...

We had many games of horse shoe...I will have to admit that this can be very addicting...

Kaden is now 22 months old. I can't believe he is almost 2! They grow up too fast! He is definitely in his terrible 2 stage! He makes messes, he gets into everything that he is not suppose to, he wants to be outside 24/7, he laughs histerically and RUNS away from me when he is in trouble AND he pesters his baby sister! But HEY he is a KID! ALL THE MORE REASON TO LOVE HIM!!! He makes me laugh and he gives me hugs and kisses everyday and for that I am thankful!!!

1 year ago today, my brother Cole passed away. I still can remember the details of that dreaded day. My family has been through a lot this past year. We have overcome many trials. My prayers are with my family and everyone that was close to my brother...for the pain that they might be feeling. I know that he is happy and that brings some comfort to my heart. I miss him SO much! He was the most loving and giving person that I know. The Lord had a greater mission for him. I love you Cole!

Yes, Kaden got a hold of dad's razor and tried to shave his facial hair...haha. He observes what daddy does TOO much! It didn't even hurt him. When I found him, he was laughing?! Don't be fooled by the picture of him glaring...he was just mad that I wouldn't stop taking pictures..lol.

This is pretty much an every day occurance. He wants to be a clone of his dad :)

Daddy's little Princess is now 3 months old! She goos and grins all day long. You can just walk past her and she will smile from ear to ear! Her little brother gives her kisses all the time and cuddles next to her every chance he can get. Recently she has been sucking on her thumb, but we try to keep her from doing it. She sleeps very good most nights. She usually only wakes up at 5:30 am to eat and then she is right back to bed. She has been such a blessing in our family :)

Shad's Birthday was on March 7th and I am late on posting, but better late than never! Saturday we went to dinner at Gringos and it was so yummy! It was just the two of us, so that was nice :) We haven't had a dinner with out kids for a long time! On Shad's birthday on Sunday, I made him a nice dinner, we ate cake, and Shad decided he wanted to just relax for the rest of the evening. Monday we went to Shad's parents house and had cake and ice cream to celebrate multiple birthdays. Shad and Brandon's birthdays were both on the 7th and Mariko's birthday was today. Happy Birthday to all of you with March birthdays (Wyatt, Mike, Jessica, Adrie, Clay....I hope I didn't forget somebody!) Have a good one :) Love you all!

Sunday after church I took the opportunity to get some pictures of the kids since I haven't been on top of things for awhile....mainly because our computer broke! I didn't get very many good ones because they were both ready for naps after church and it was a nightmare, but here are two that I thought turned out okay. Kaden is 18 months and is such a tease! Cambry is 2 1/2 months old and she is such a sweetheart. She is so smiley all the time and I LOVE IT! We are so lucky to have her!

My little Kaden isn't so little anymore!! He is now 18 months and he is really growing up fast!

Now that we have two little ones, time seems to fly by!

Kaden loves when daddy comes home from work every day. His face just lights up once he hears that door start to open! They shoot hoops together, eat snacks, wrestle and watch cartoons together before winding down for bed. It is his most favorite part of the day.

Funny things about Kaden:

He doesn't like his feet covered. He always kicks the blankets off if they are touching his feet. NOTHING can touch his feet!

He can't eat the same food consistently. He likes a variety...High maintenance!

He wears mommy's and daddy's shoes around the house every day.

He doesn't like milk in sippy cups, but will drink it if he has to...haha.

He likes to take his pants off and JUST wear his shoes...very funny!

He has two favorite blankets and has to have both of them for nap time and car rides.

He tries to get away with as much as he can...he is very sneaky...

His forehead wrinkles when he gets mad or throws tantrums...he looks like an old man.

He is most relaxed when he is cuddling with dad right before bed time.

A few things Kaden likes to say:

Bottle, Baby, Daddy & Mommy, Kye (his cousin), Cookie, Bread, Shoes, Binky, Blanky, Hot, Doggy, Potty, Sweetie (AKA Cambry), etc.

Those are just a few things...We love him like crazy! He is such a funny kid...Love ya Skip!

Christmas Day & Cambry's Blessing

Christmas this year was great! Almost all of the Benson family was able to be here this year and we did some fun things together! We enjoyed having our new little baby girl with us for Christmas. It was very hard not having Cole here physically, but we were in good spirits. Kaden loved every minute of opening all of his presents and he is still playing with them today, so that is good! We also got to spend time with the Crapo clan. It is nice having family so close that we are able to spend time with both for the holidays. We blessed Cambry two days after Christmas because family would still be around and able to attend. Shad caught the flu sunday morning, but was still able to procede with the blessing even though he was really weak....what a trooper! Thanks everybody for a wonderful Christmas and a nice blessing! We love you all very much. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Cambry Crapo

Our little Cambry arrived Thursday, December 3rd at 4:53 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 Ounces 21 inches long. The labor and delivery went very well and a week later things are still going great. We are so lucky to have a healthy and beautiful baby girl. She really is such a sweetheart and we couldn't ask for a better Christmas Gift!

Today was Kaden's 1st birthday! We had so much fun! We went to Green Canyon swimming and it was Kaden's first pool experience and he had a blast. After we swam, we ate dinner, had birthday cake and opened presents. Kaden was soooo exhausted by the time we were done, but I know he had so much fun. What a day!

My friend Nicolette invited Kaden and I to go to the zoo yesterday for her daughters birthday. I haven't been to the zoo since I was a little girl and it was fun to see Kaden looking at the animals. He started crying when the swinging monkeys got close to the window....the last thing I thought he would be scared of.....haha.

Life has been pretty crazy these past few months, but things are now slowing down and I was able to post some cute pics of the kids hangin' this summer.

Shad and I have been married for 2 years today! He is such a wonderful husband and I feel so lucky to have him. We have a beautiful baby boy and I couldn't be happier with my life. I love my family so much!! Happy Anniversary Shad. I love you.

Kaden is 7 Months old now! He will be 8 Months old in April. Time is flying and he is getting to be SO big! He started eating some fruits and veggies and he can't get enough of it! Right when I take the spoon out of his mouth he freaks out. I think this kid will eat about anything..he just loves it. You can tell by the excitement on his face. Haha.

Wow, I didn't realize how long it had been since I last posted, so sorry to everyone that has been wanted me to update my blog! Kaden is almost 6 months old now! Time is flying and he is growing so fast! I love being mom...so much fun!

Ok, so I am a little late on posting halloween pictures, but oh well. Kaden was a cow this year. Thanks for letting us use your costume Ashley ;) It was a lot of fun and he looked so cute!

I love this picture of Kaden & Katelyn on Halloween. SO CUTE! It so much fun to have cousins around Kaden's age.

Kaden was born August 4th at 6:15 pm. He was 7 lbs.
